Visiting Position in Biomechanics at Pepperdine University

Pepperdine University’s Seaver College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences, located in Malibu, California, invites applications for an appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Instructor of Sports Medicine for the 2018-2019 academic year. With successful performance, the appointment may be renewed for subsequent academic years. Applicants who have completed a Ph.D. in kinesiology or in an equivalent field, with an emphasis in biomechanics, by July 2018 are desired; however, candidates who have completed a M.S. degree and have prior teaching experience in biomechanics and functional anatomy will be considered.

Candidates must have demonstrated ability for teaching undergraduate coursework in biomechanics, functional anatomy, and human anatomy. Candidates are encouraged to engage undergraduate students in research in biomechanics and kinesiology. A well-equipped biomechanics laboratory is available for teaching and research and opportunities for collaboration exists with faculty in sports medicine, physics and computer science.
