Assistant/Associate Professor of Kinesiology at Westmont


The Kinesiology Department invites applications and nominations for a position at the assistant or associate professor level to begin August 2018. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in kinesiology or a related field and demonstrated excellence in undergraduate classroom teaching and research. We are seeking candidates with an interest and vision for teaching core classes in the major such as foundations of kinesiology, senior capstone and the required internship program, as well as contributing to other areas in the discipline of kinesiology. Teaching responsibilities could include nutrition, public health, movement psychology, gerontology studies, health and wellness, or motor development. A qualified candidate would enhance faculty/student research in his/her chosen field. Proven administrative skills would be a welcome addition for future service in the Kinesiology Department. We are seeking department members who are committed to the overall development of students, as well as preparation for future goals. The Kinesiology Department is highly regarded for its ability to prepare students for successful postgraduate study and meaningful careers.
